Go Forth and Celebrate with Our “Founding Dog-Fathers”
We love the 4th of July! Whether hosting a star-spangled cookout in your backyard or enjoying a patriotic picnic, parade, or fireworks with friends, we wish you and your pup a very happy Independence Day!
A local business born out of friendship, Top Dog was created by two devoted pet parents, Richard and Dennis, who wanted to see their beloved four-legged friends thrive through a natural, high-quality, raw diet. To celebrate this all-American holiday, we asked our 'Founding dog-fathers' to tell us more about their top dogs, aka our 'pawfessional' taste testers and share how they will be marking this special holiday with their pups.
Introducing George
Founding dog-father - Richard
Nickname - Georgeous or Georgie
Breed - Labrador
Age - 4
What makes his tail wag - Trying new raw recipes and endless cuddles and attention (he totally deserves it, of course.)
Favorite Top Dog snack - Beef Marrow Bone
A beef marrow bone is our go-to treat. They are filled with nutrients, including vitamin B12, iron, and collagen, and they are also durable and safe for your pup's teeth and gums. Chewing is great for dental hygiene, supporting healthy teeth and gums.
Favorite Top Dog meal - Beef Healthy Variety Mix ( now Variety Blend)
This nutritionally rich beef recipe is one of our favorites. It provides high-quality protein as well as essential zinc and iron. The all-natural blend consists of ground beef with beef bones and organs and whole fruits and vegetables, including kale, celery, cauliflower, broccoli, apples, cranberries, and blueberries.

Breed - Crossbreed, he was a rescue pup
Age - 11
What makes his tail wag - Seeing his dog Dad and a good sniffing session
Favorite Top Dog snack - Beef Neck Bones 5lb bag
Beef neck bones are our number one snack. They are rich in collagen, which supports healthy skin and fur. They are softer than other beef bone options, great for cleaning teeth, and provide hours of chewing fun which gets a big paws up from Colby.
Favorite Top Dog meal - Pork Healthy Variety Mix (now Variety Blend)
We love this nutritionally rich pre-mixed meal base. It contains high-quality, antibiotic-free ground pork, pork bone, pork heart, pork liver, and pork kidney, blended with whole fruits and vegetables. Colby loves the taste, and pork is very digestible and a great source of B vitamins, helping to keep him strong and healthy.
July 4th plans - We'll enjoy plenty of family time and treating Colby to our red, white, and blue frozen bowl toppers.
